About DoIt Calculators
Why DoIt Calculators exists
DoIt Calculators started as a simple idea: everyday calculations — a quick percentage, a mortgage estimate, a BMI check — shouldn't require sifting through a cluttered page full of pop-ups. Every calculator here runs directly in your browser, loads quickly, and gets out of your way once you have your answer.
Who's behind it
DoIt Calculators is an independent, one-person project based in Sweden. It started as a way to bring together the everyday calculators people search for most, in one clean, uncluttered place, without the pop-ups and clutter that come with a lot of calculator sites.
It's built and maintained in spare time rather than by a company or team — which also means it stays small, focused, and free to use.
How the calculators work
Each calculator uses a standard, published formula (shown on that calculator's own page under "How this calculation works"). Nothing you type is sent to a server — every calculation happens locally on your device.
Where a formula has a well-known reference value — a mortgage payment, a BMI category, a resistor color code — the calculator is checked against that reference before it goes live. Formulas are drawn from standard, widely published sources (such as the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for BMR, the EIA color code for resistors, or the WHO's adult BMI thresholds) rather than invented from scratch, so you're getting the same method a textbook or a professional tool would use.
What's not included
These tools give general estimates based on the inputs you provide — they don't replace a lender's official quote, a doctor's assessment, or a licensed electrician's measurements. Where that distinction matters most (money and health), you'll see a short note on the calculator itself pointing you toward a professional.
